Our advertised metrics are based on performance with full-screen mode enabled for the most accurate data collection. Not Included*: We will not be including laptop metrics as, due to their nature, they are expected to perform poorly. Likewise, MODERNITY performance without shaders will not be included as it is expected to perform exceptionally well. Laptop metrics may be conducted in the future, but will be kept separate.

Disclaimer: We are doing our best to replicate the proper builds for testing, however, we are working with available equipment. These builds are last-gen [in accordance with the current gaming population] as the gaming market is currently evolving.
Budget PC: Simulates the average modern gaming pc based on market research.
Mid-Tier PC: Accessible system offering good performance capable of higher visual fidelity.
Performance: A mix of last-gen, high-end and mid-tier equipment.
High-End: The tail-end of the last-gen machines built for high performance and visual fidelity.

Note: According to Steam, the most common build for today's gamers is a base model 3060 with 16 GB of ram. For our Budget PC testing, we will be using a power-cut 2080 Super [90w] and 16 GB of ram to simulate a modern gaming rig.

THE RENDER
GAUNTLET
WHAT IS IT?
The Render Gauntlet is a map in development that will eventually be the primary testing stage for the MODERNITY pack. It will feature various biomes, mods, and builds meant to simulate a wide range of high-stress play scenarios. Below is a list of things we will be testing within The Render Gauntlet:

⚠️ MULTI-EVENT OCCURENCES: | Tests practical gameplay while performing like multi-mod use and simultaneous actions [think animated boss battle during a thunder storm] |
🏙️ MAX RENDER & SIMULATION DISTANCE: | Allows us to check mipmap performance and the engine's ability to render high fidelity texture and shadow volumes at various distances. |
📽️ MULTI-RAM USAGE [for content creators]: | Test the pack's performance during simultaneous use with other resource intensive programs such as OBS and Xbox Capture. |
Once completed this development map will be made available for to the general public in true MODERNITY fashion.
